4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Our chickens insist on climbing on the glug (I think to give them a better view) consequently it gets absolutely filthy. I scrub it every night but, because of the textured plastic, the dirt seems to 'grip' and the top now looks distinctly grubby. I've also tried using the jet washer on it (that was fun )

 

The ones for sale on ebay always look pristine so I'm wondering is there some secret to cleaning it? Any ideas?

Admittedly our hens don't stand on them but I routinely stick ours in the dishwasher. Seems to bring them up nicely.

Yep, dishwasher used here too. Electric, under the sink model, not me

I don't worry about the outside, just scrub the inside with an old dishbrush each day then refill.

nigella likes to jump on and off the glug esp when she is getting anxious to be out of the run, so it is always filty (and full of bark chippings). we just clean the inside most days and put it in the dishwasher when it looks too dirty on the outside
