4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hi, am a bit confused about my chickens. I got them on the 26th April and in the 6 I got 2 speckledys. One had pretty much no comb or wattle yet and had feathery feet so I thought she was the youngest but the more I look at the 2 of them th more I realise she's massive cokmpared to the other one, I tried to take some pictures last night but was hard to get them together. but here you go, you'll see one is much larger and especially has a much larger head, all of the oters have had their combs and wattles become redder and larger but this one pretty much hasn't changed, could she be another breed or is there such a variation in size and development in some breeds?

 

This is fromt he first day I got them and you can see the size difference there too and also the shape of the head looks a lot different.

 

 

 

Any thoughts?

Not 100% sure Helen, but it seems as if it is just variation in the same breed. I have two gingernuts who were delivered together. One is much bigger and has a lovely rounded chicken shape, big comb and wattles; the other is scrawny with a much smaller headgear. Very different personalities as well!

I think she's just a younger hen perhaps. You do get large variations between hens as I have two bluebelles, but Starlet is much bigger than Muddles and has a larger comb and wattles and (when she does) lay bigger eggs.

I suppose they are like people and come in all shapes and sizes.

 

One of my gingernuts is minute compared to the others.

thank you all for your reassurance, I was really concerned by her lack of development with her comb and wattle.
