lisaroo2
I am beginning to think that I need a permanent diary available on this forum entitled 'the Adventures of Daisy'. She certainly is a character. The latest installment... ...she's taken to climbing onto the top of the eglu, waiting until either Maisie or Rosie is directly below her and then flinging her self off the top 'geronimo' style and either frightening the life out of them or landing on them! Is there a borstal for chooks? No wonder Maisie hasn't laid an egg today, its Rocket Ronnie setting her nerves on edge! She's spent the last hour up there, either asleep or preening, or just watching the other two. She reminds me of the velociraptors in Jurassic Park, just watching and waiting... Still love though. Oh, and she's managed to escape tonight. Got her back before she'd wandered too far...
Egg Lou
Perhaps you should write a childrens book about her adventures she certainly sounds a real character
lisaroo2
Oh, she's a character alright! Hubbie-to-be went out at 9.30pm and she was still on the top of the run with her head under wing, sitting in the drizzle! What am I going to do with her? Hubbie-to-be had to shoo her into the others in the eglu who had already gone to bed. Perhaps she knows its friday night and she can have a lie-in in the morning! Snowy
She does sound a real character! I hope my new whitestar, Sugar, is as comical! She certainly seems to like the outdoor life - she is roosting outside the cube on the branches. Clever Spice is snuggled up in the cube under the other chooks

lisaroo2
oh she's got style alright! She's like white lightning round that pen! Little Miss Bossy Boots one minute and then frightened of her own shadow the next.
Abbey Road Girl
Well, Lisa, looks like you hit the jackpot with Daisy! Hens have loads of personality, but some more than others. Course, could be a mixed blessing... I hope that you can enjoy everything that life gives you.
