How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Hello. I've just joined this forum today as I need some help.

I am the happy owner of 3 chickens which I've had for a week and a half. The lady I bought them from said they were ready to lay in about a week's time. No eggs yet!

I have just let them run free in the garden but our pet male rabbit Thumper also has the freedom of the garden and he has decided he has fallen in love with one of the poor girls! His nose is almost fixed to the chicken's bottom and follows her around the garden. He has tried to mount her a few times.

I have kept him in his hutch for the last couple of days as I think this may be delaying their laying if they might be a bit stressed!

Anyone else experienced this problem??!

Maybe Thumper would like to be neutered so he could have a bunny girlfriend (also neutered of course!) ! Then everyone will be happy - chickens and rabbits!

I agree Michelle, his hormonal drives will be driving him (and eventually everyone else who is humped) mad He stands the risk of being pecked by the hen too. Try to keep them seperate until you can get him neutered, then he'll calm down quickly and can have a girlfriend a couple of months after his op.

I agree too, the chickens can be quite vicious (they scare my cats) so your bunny may well push his luck too far one day.

 

And there are not many things cuter than a paid of bonded bunnies !
