Jen&Rog
Hello, just wondering if anyone can advise me on the dosage of Panacur 10%. The vet (who has admitted not specialising in hens) has said 1ml daily per 2.5kg for 3-5 days - I've read several posts saying that it is one dose now and one 10 days later. This is what I intend to do, but can anyone tell me how much to give them? Sorry, I always seem to be asking these kind of questions! Chickybaby
I give 0.5ml panacur daily for 3 days. I didn't get that advice from a vet though, can't quite remember exactly where it did come from but it seems to work.
The Dogmother
My vet prescribes it as 1ml per 1kg of chicken. Two doses, 7 days apart and to be repeated twice a year. He's a poultry expert and recommends it highly. It needs to be shaken well as the supension isn't very stable. *Remember that any mention of it in conjunction with use on poultry must also carry the disclaimer that it is not licenced for use on poultry in the UK. Jen&Rog
Thank you both for your advice, always good to get other peoples' opinions as I'd hate to give them too much. Now, I'd better get worming!
