The Coming of The Cube!

Recommended Posts

Was very relaxed this morning while I got the children ready for school and played down the 'Coming of The Cube'. The kids were so exited and wanted the morning off to wait for Omlet but I was firm and sensible and packed them off with their lunches. Bless.

Soon as I got back I have to say I giggled and fretted and basically behaved pretty much like the kids AND THEN it arrived!!!!

George kindly set it up for me while I tried to compose myself and when he had finished....well :D

I must say our new cube looks rather lovely sitting under the Oak in its cool lilac shade and whats even cooler is the cockerel down the road, who is making such a bloomin racket at the moment, that whatever the girls do when they arrive will be no competition! So one thing less to worry about ie noice and neighbours.

3pm will be back in SMM (sensible mummy mode) but had to share my exitement with you. So much for working from home. I'm just going to go out and have another little play... :D:D

You will all love it... ours is purple and our two chooks rapidly became 5 and then 7 so be prepared they are addictive and gorgeous.

I would be wrong to say we haven't had our challenges (our cube and first two girls) arrived in January, but I wouldn't change a thing. Our kids love them and even hubby loves them too and sneaks out some mornings to let them into their big garden run.

I hope you enjoy them as we have and hope you avoid some of the challenges we faced.... Christian I hope you read this.... thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

On all you good peoples recommendations I ordered extra roosting bars for the cube.

But I've just noticed that one of the roosting bars has a chunk of wood splintered away from the bar itself. Should I be worried about splinters in the hens feet? If I pull it off it will have lots of jagged bits or maybe I should speak to Omlet or not worry at all? :?
