Scotty Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 Hi Guys, It's been a while since I last signed in... believe it or not things have been going wonderfully well. But here's my question to you clever people.... Yesterday I had a massive tree chopped down in the back garden, lots of noise and men in wellies rushing all over the garden, so I picked up my 4 hens and brought them into the office with me, so we could escape the noise. - I must say ... after that experience Im never locking myself in a room with 4 chickens ever again, the amount of poo that I've had to wade through is unbelievable. This morning as I went to collect the daily eggs, I found 2 normal eggs, 1 semi soft egg (kind of deflated) and the 4th was a perfectly formed but a tiny little egg. landgirl Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 From what I've read, that change/shock would easily be enough to affect egg formation for a day. I had similar performance from my three after a bad thunderstorm one day. They will most probably be right back to normal with the following lot of eggs.
