surferdog
Does anybody have some good recipes for using up oranges? I forgot to cancel them from my delivery and now have a fridge full. I've done the Nigella clementine cake a couple of times but I'm the only one that's really keen on it (an di can't keep scoffing whole cakes by myself....) I thought some orange and something muffins might be nice - any other ideas? Thanks!

surferdog
Or what about orange curd (like lemon curd or tho made with oranges) HAve you seen the Love food Hate waste website? Oooh that's a good idea! Was looking at that site the other day - will look to see what they say about oranges. Ive made the lemon layer pudding before now using a mixture of orange and lemons. Its a bung it all in mixture and it magically splits into two layers in the oven- a citrus sauce topped with a sponge type layer.? Is that like a chocolate surprise pudding? I've made one of those before where the sponge ends up on top and a pool of sauce underneath. Although the surprise in this case was I'd used chilli instead of cinnamon to 'bring out the taste of the chocolate' (allegedly). I actually quite liked it but DD's face was a picture

surferdog
Thanks - Think I will have a bash at the weekend. Uses 10 oranges so will make a dent in the pile and sounds just right for this weather.

Mrs Frugal
Thanks - Think I will have a bash at the weekend. Uses 10 oranges so will make a dent in the pile and sounds just right for this weather. It's a lovely drink. I must buy some oranges from the market and start making orangeade again. Very thirst quenching in hot weather.
