Killer Cat =-(

Recommended Posts

Our nine month old Main Coon cat Azlan has brought home two dead chicks (chicken) :( One today and the other a couple of days ago :? They had just started to grow there grown up feathers on there wings :( I know he is only acting on instinct but I am a little miffed that whoever owns the chicks are not protecting them well enough  Surely if he can get them then Mr Fox will also have a good chance :? I live on a new build estate and know of "Ooops, word censored!"ody else who keeps chickens :? He also brought home a duckling the other week

:( how awful. I mean, it's horrid when they catch birds anyway but as a chicken-keeper yourself, you must feel even worse.

The owners isn't protecting them, though. If your cat can get to them, then so can a fox. In fact perhaps the fox has already had the others.

Sadly it's the time of year - I have never found bells etc. to work. Don't think there is much you can do.

That is really sad Paola :( I agree the chickenkeeper is not doing a very good job. I thought M.Coons were supposed to be 'gentle giants' and not into stalkiing and killing things, yours is obviously a feisty one

Our garden is free of flies as Bella stalks, hunts and eats them :lol: Azlan went through a stage recently of bring home rabbits :roll: He is a monster but such a lovely natured and laid back one
