yannovitch
bonjour tout le monde! i have a couple of questions, as i am growing broad beans this year for the first time. first, do i need to feed them once the first beans have come out? or is it one of these plants that fixes nitrogen and therefore needs no feed? secondly, the first stalks are now quite big and i have harvested most beans on it. some new stalks have started to grow. should i chop the old stalks and let the new ones grow? any advice is welcome! Thank you! Yann
Guest
I never feed my bbs and get a good crop. If the beans are not in the way then if you have harvested the all the beans, there is no harm in leaving them in if you have some new stalks 50/50 if you get more beans Pinch off the tops of the bbs to prevent black fly
