I've managed to avoid doing my main shop in Tesco for months - do I now have to boycott my garden centre too ? Luckily I usually go to Klondyke which is nearer but Dobbies is much bigger.

How depressing I use Dobbies mail order service ocassionaly will have to re-think where I buy my garden stuff NOT going to give money to Tesco.

it's scary isn't it.

 

pile it high, sell it cheap, drive out the competition, buy out the competition then charge what you like.

 

i now go out of my way to buy from the 'little man' if it's at all possible.

I believe that they (Tesco) have also bought the Big W building at the end of the A1 next to Asda, and are planning on turning it into a outlet for their clothing and electricals range.

 

I was gutted to hear they had bought into Dobbies - not my favourite garden centre, but always good for a wander around.
