Snowy
I've just discovered the downside to my big run with larger holes in the mesh! Blooming Starlings Most of my run has been covered over with fruit cage mesh to deter wild birds from entering, but the starlings have found the bit with no mesh on and got into the run. Then they cannot find their way out out again They are flying straight up and bashing their heads on the roof or getting tangled in the mesh. Poor chooks are being dive bombed by the blighters. Anyway, I've been out and scared them off (no starlings were injured during this exercise, promise ) and have been fastening the childrens St George's Day flags around the run to scare them away. A lovely sight in my fluffy dressing gown and crocs in the rain So far so good, I think I've won this round Will be putting more mesh up later on. puffball
well done for sorting it out! thats...um...a very original idea to use the flags for that - you should take a picture, "patriotic chickens"! (or am i just being a bit dopey..? )
