4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Has anyone any experience / advice on how to deter a persistant fox which is stressing the chickens and me out. It means that the only time the chickens can get out and run fee is when we are in the garden and even in the warmer weather I am having to close the eglu door at night.

I live near a town centre so the fox has no natural enemies about here.

i'm sure there is a machine that ommits a noise which deters the fox.

 

i can't remember what it's called but i read about it on here...hopefully those users will post here

It is called a **Foxwatch**

 

It is a useful addition to the "Ooops, word censored!"nal against foxes, but can't be relied upon totally.

Have you thought about electric fencing?

 

Many use the foxwatch, and say it works very well. It does take time for the fox to 'learn' not to come too close though.

 

Mains operated is probably better as then you don't have the worry of the battery going flat.
