Olly
I came downstairs this morning to find a slaughtered mouse on the floor. I have no way of telling whether this was the one living under the sink (or maybe behind the fridge!) or a fresh one. I did look for any tiny traces of blue rubber-glove on its muzzle ... guess I will only know for sure, when the gloves are not eaten! The Dogmother
Welll, no sign of mousey this morning, no dead mouse smell either and no new deaders to frighten the people on my advanced course. Although I'm sure that I caught Egluntine and Goosey Lucy looking worried when Biscuit put in an appearance *shrugs* I guess they either ate it or took it back out. Olly
After disposing of the mouse on the kitchen floor yesterday ... a friend came round in the evening, and we were sitting in the garden with a drink while the chickens had some free-range time. I popped indoors for something, and then heard cries of 'No! Put it down!' I'd failed to spot another dead mouse in the corner of the patio, and Sadie was just preparing to swallow this delicious treat before one of her sisters snatched it away. Helpful friend managed to get it away from her. This has happened before, it's a tad irritating as I feel I have to give the eggs away for a few days afterwards!
