4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Scarlett, my Naked Neck, didn't lay yesterday, nor the day before, although she has been spending time in the nestbox. I had had a feel around her tummy, but I couldn't feel a stuck egg,

 

Despite more time in the nestbox, and a bit of nesting under one of the shrubs, here was no egg by he time I went out at linchtime. I decided that if she hadn't laid by the time I got back, I'd have to assume she was egg bound and try steaming her vent.

 

I checked the nestbox when I got home and there was a huge torpedo in it, it looks like two eggs fused together. Scarlett started off with 38g eggs, but recently has been laying 51g. Today's monster is 78g (and it has a bit of blood on the shell).

 

It's too big for our egg holder. My eyes water every time I look at it.#

Wow Hazel and well done to Scarelett! What a whopper! My biggest egg is thanks to Maisie which was 73g. You really feel for them don't you!

We had an 80g egg yesterday, it wont fit on our skelter... not that we can use them at the moment anyway!
