sootem
Just a query - what is the difference between mash and pellets? Is one better for the girls than the other or is it just a matter of preference. Some of my girls didn't like the pellets so I added warm water and made a porridge. I'm wondering if I should just get some mash but want to make sure they get all their nutrients. Advice please Susan
Laura & CTB
Pellets are just a solid form of mash so there's no nutritional difference, it's a matter of preference. Mash is a lot messier than pellets as they tend to fling it everywhere but it's probably more interesting for them as they can root around for the best bits first Mash and pellets can be mixed with water to make a porridge that the girls love. Egluntyne
Same difference. All a matter of personal preference. Mash is messier, but occupies them for longer as it takes longer to eat. If you rescue ex-batts, they need to be on mash at first, as it is what they are used to. Edited for typo.
