ajm200
Hi Everyone. I'm hoping some of you can give me some advice as one of our girls has taken to regularly laying two large eggs (80-95g often double yolkers) per day and I'm worried about the strain this may be putting on her. I was expecting 5-6 eggs a week from her but instead get 9 or 10 often with up to 12 yolks between them and this seems to be a settled pattern now. I give them all limestone powder, garlic powder, bokashi and poultry spice.. is there anything else that she might need as I don't want her to burn herself out and get sick She makes up for her little sister who still isn't showing any signs of laying despite a good diet
Egluntyne
I would let her fill up on less nutritious like pasta and rice and mashed spud so that her laying is reduced. it might take a day or two. You might have to separate her from the others for a while whilst she scoffs this. You are right to be concerned that she might burn out.
