StephanieSB
I keep reading about people ordering mealworms and maggots for their chickens, but I have a cheap source of ordinary earthworms (you can order tubs or get a starter kit to keep growing at home). Is there any reason people don't feed their chickens earthworms?
Egluntyne
Hens help themselves to earthworms when freeranging. Maybe people don't reckon they are worth buying as there are plenty in the garden.
cluckbok
Hi ya, Yeah we don't buy worms very often, like Egluntine said, plenty of them in the garden. We occasionally buy a tub of mealworms and they love them. But other than that we just let them forage in the garden for the worms.
