eggstatic Posted June 28, 2008 Share Posted June 28, 2008 Martha the undisputed and unelected leader of the Silk Willoughby 4 appears to bolster her position as head chick by pretending to lay eggs. She enters the Eglu, sits for about an hour then emerges cackling her head off as if she has beaten the world record for egg laying. Very much more often than not she has laid nothing at all. Ms Tilytinkle Posted June 28, 2008 Share Posted June 28, 2008 Hellooo Yes to begin with our Medlesham Blue used to do this, she would make such a noise & declare her laying to the whole waiting world, i'd go & check & there would be no egg!!! She did this for a couple of weeks then seemed to get bored & she doesnt do it now. She would also tell you when any other chicken had laid, but she doesn't do that anymore either. What characters !!
