Recommended Posts

Yes, its great!

all sorts for sale,

animals, feeds and crafts.

Lots of displays, horses, weaving, knitting and sheep shearing etc,

and lots opf experts to ask advice from.

Do not under any circumstances take your credit cards!

Far too many bargains and "must haves" up for sale.

Awww! I'd love to go. But we're off to Bristol to visit husband's family as they've invited us to the theatre (there's a kiddies' play).

Perhaps it's for the best... I always take Prudence with me to craft shows and places with chickens for sale, then I lock her in the car, grab my bag with the credit cars in it and run towards the stalls!:twisted::oops:

We went :D and it was lovely :D DD2 won't speak to me because we didn't bring any hens home. We were really tempted though.

One thing I wasn't impressed with was the ticket prices and organisation. It cost us £36 to get in (4 adults because once you're 14 you're an adult, and a child). I find that a little bit steep because after all we were going to buy things, not to be entertained. DH went to pay and they only took cash or cheques, not cards. We didn't have enough cash on us, so had to drive miles to find a cashpoint. Stallholders took credit cards though. I wasn't impressed.

I bought some local cheeses and local honey. I also bought some Shea butter products which were 100% active and natural ingredients. the creams were made by the lady selling them. The shea butter is harvested by east Africans and fairly traded, so I was very happy. :D
