eggstatic
I understand that although Brahmas are big girls their eggs are no bigger than those of an 'ordinary' hen. However two questions spring to mind :- a) do they eat very much more than the average hen and, b) do they produce ginormous amounts of poo? Any comments from experienced Brahma keepers would be appreciated.
Helen&Lee
The eggs are actually smaller than the gingernuts and pepperpots, mine usually lay around 49 - 52g. Poo's - I haven't noticed any larger than the others. Food - Hard to tell really, I think they are about the same as the others. My Brahma's are wonderful, I have a lovely friendly, docile one, and at the other end of the scale a bolshy madam. All four have had a good go at being broody for England though this year, but I wouldn't swap them. Helen
