Hi all,

Well it is here, the eglu has landed. I am at work but himself just rang to say it has arrived in boxes so large the wont fit through the front door. He is now attempting to fit them through our crowded garage. Im not sure yet wether we have recieved an 'old' or 'new' eglu. I ordered it three weeks ago before the new one was launched so not sure what we've got. Ive told himself not to unpack it till I get home. Yeehar!

Hi Annie ... great to hear of the landing of the Eglu . Have fun unpacking and assembling ... and then filling it with chooks. You could have an Eglu warming party ... great excuse . Or instead of a "Raise the roof" a "raise the Eglu" party ... and then get really drunk AFTER its been assembled.

Hi Annie

I had to assemble my eglu myself - really easy if you do it on a flat surface when putting the run together. The Allan key for attaching the run to the eglu is actually in a special place in the eglu. Look on the base of the eglu, with the slats towards you, and it is to the right hand side of the door. Don't worry about not having a little bag of ikea type screws etc, they were already screwed into place with the washers round the top of the eglu to attach the run.

What colour did you get?

Hi Mother hen,

we got a green eglu (see updated sign off) , at least, thats what I ordered, will have to wait and see whats in the box when I get home. Bit boring I know but I think it will blend into our 1920s style garden better than a bright one. The pink one would look so great with bunnies in though.
