Long shot - lost recipe

When I see a nice recipe in a magazine I rip it out & it goes in my 'to cook' pile next to my computer.

the when its been tried & has met with our approval,it goes into my big file.

 

Well,I have had a recipe for a couple of weeks,have bought all the bits & have now lost it :roll:

Just wondered if anyone else might have torn it out to cook it too :?

 

It was for a chicken & couscous dish,with thighs & legs of chicken,with sun dried tomato paste & that spice called Ras E Nanout (or something).

The couscous was all studded with pistachios & pine nuts......................

 

I am supposed to be cooking it tonight :roll:

Have tried all the websites of the mags I generally rip recipes from,to no avail.

 

Fingers crossed,or I shall have to make it up as I go along :lol:

This any good?

 

a really basic recipe would be to rub some on chicken thighs, sautee with onions (add a little brown sugar... ras al hanout, if it doesn't have any in the mixture, needs a bit of sugar - either honey or brown sugar - in my opinion)). and serve over couscous. after searing and cooking, deglaze the pan with a bit of white wine or stock with lemon to make a rich sauce to spoon over the chicken and couscous. adorn with basil, mint or parsley.

 

Ras E Nanout is an Egyptian actor isn't he? :wink:
