4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

This weekend we started the base for our cube. We managed to achieve what we set out to do this weekend so we are on schedule which is good.

Framework in place

 

Edges filled with rubble from our old patio, the new one has been put on hold while we build the chicken run!

 

 

The cube will sit here eventually, which will give us easy access to the shed, for chicken food etc.

 

We have got everything else we need apart from corrugated sheets for the roof, We will concrete the edges next weekend and hopefully start some of the panels of the run. The earth is staying in the middle but will be topped up with woodchips/hemcore if I can get some. The run in total will be 12" x 6" and 6 feet high with double doors at the front for easy access and also a cat-flap style hatch for the chickens, small enough for them and too small for the dog!
