Advice needed, Is this okay, or what should i do?

Recommended Posts

I have introduced my two new chooks to the omlet 4 chooks less than 24 hours apart. They sleep together happily, they all put themselves to bed last night.I peeped in the nesting box and the spec was huddled up to the GR's and PP's. The amber roosting on her own.

Initially the amber star was brave and joined them quite happily, then got pecked and it got a bit out of hand, so after a few hours I put her behind some wire in the pen and put food down either side, they all ignored the speckeldy!

Today the new chooks have just sat all day long in the doorway of the cube, or roosting on the ladder, no further down, so I can't shut the cube door without squashing one of them!

I am a bit concerned that they have made no attempt to get to the food and water. The others are ignoring them on the steps, no squabbling or pecking.

Is this the right way to go?

Thank you
