How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Lily is 23 weeks now and we have been checking the box almost hourly! We found white of egg in there yesterday,so we figured things were afoot.Today she has been going in and out of the box,with lots of stomping and scratching about going on.DD (21 y o)came in this afternoon,bemused by all the attention given to Lily.We explained why and she casually said 'Well I took Alex(friends 4 y o son) to see the chickys yesterday and they were eating the egg,shell and all'! Darnit!! Missed it!! Do they make a habit of it or was it just the shock of it all?

Here's hoping she does it again tomorrow 'cos there wasnt anything today!

Both of them are getting very cheeky after only 2 days free ranging and have popped into the kitchen already!

If it got accidentally cracked, they would wolf it down.

 

They may not bother if it is intact.

 

Best to remove them from the nest as soon after they have been laid as you can, to prevent a bad habit developing.
