Tin of chickpeas pinch chilli flakes half teaspoon cumin salt and pepper clove of garlic 1.5 tsp tahini (I never have this in and just crush some sesame seeds in a pestle and mortar) extra virgin olive oil lemon juice Pound chilli and cumin in a tsp of salt adding sesame seeds if not using tahini. Put garlic and chickpeas in a food processor, adding the cumin and chilli mixture and pulse until smooth. Add salt, pepper, oil and lemon juice to taste and pulse until you get the taste/texture you want. I make this a bit loose, as it seems to firm up on sitting.
