SAB
One of my ex-batts who lays pretty reliably has been in and out the nextbox all day sqwauking away as though laying an egg but nothing there when she is finished - anyone any idea what going on? (I posted query in egg section but no replies).
Egluntyne
Maybe she is trying to lay a very large egg. Perhaps she is on the verge of turning broody. Any update?
SAB
No update yet, but I had wondered about the possibility of her becoming broody as there are hormones a plenty in the run at present with one of my other birds just about to start laying and the discovery that Gloria, our mini silkie is a boy! Interestingly Velma has been a lot less of a bully lately.
SAB
There have been a couple of eggs laid today but unsure by whom - none particularly large, but shells are more firm than when the ex-batts first arrived, so that may be cause of Velma's behaviour the other day. She seems fine now anyway.
