with regards to game - all the people working there i've come across (and trust me, with my husband, i've seen a LOT of game workers!) are really passionate about the games industry. granted, when you said it was for a gift, they should've figured you weren't a gamer, but for someone who is really into games it's refreshing to have someone actually care about what you're buying.

 

and at least he made you aware about the bag. i went into a shop the other day and said 'it's okay, i've got my own bag', and they gave me a carrier bag to put into my onya bag! when i pointed out i had a bag, and didn't need the plastic, they huffed and puffed before they would take it back off me. it might annoy you, but it might make a couple of people realise that they don't need a carrier...

 

i've no excuse for how rubbish o2 were though!

Good iob we're retired It's the norm here for our shopkepers to pass the time of day with each customer, and TBH we wouldn't have it any other way

I HATE all call centres and have had some interesting conversations e.g. after being on hold in the claims lines "if you want claims press 1" I got asked twice what I wanted....which was to make a claim I was tempted to make a joke at this point but knew it would go over their head.

I said I wouldn't take a offer from Halifax and when pushed for a reason, said because I don't take offers from telesales. She then said it was not telesales it was Halifax, obviously it ceases to be sales if you have one product and they sell another product when you've asked not to be contacted
