Cinnamon
I have just been out chatting to the hens,as you do, & noticed that fern has the top tip of her beak missing. Will it regrow? It doesn't seem to be worrying her at all - I can only guess she whacked it while trying to catch a bug or something
Jaack
when i bought one of my hens she had her beak clipped back, it was to prevent her from pecking the others, she still goes around like usual and the breeder told me it will eventually grow back. Steph101
I saw it on Penny, our former hyline brown. The farmer did it - he was a brutal so and so, we soon discovered! But they do grow back. It is done to reduce pecking in overcrowded conditions.
