jomo1972
Can anybody help with this? I have a former batt hen who has just plain stopped laying. She came from a battery farm and was laying quite well but then she was attacked by a fox and all the others that I had were killed by flystrike. She was alone for a few weeks so I bought some pedigree hens which hardly lay at all as far as I can tell. But the former batt hasn't laid since then. I can't understand it. At the height of July she should be laying almost one a day. She has fully recovered from the fox attack and doesn't show signs of flystrike. Christian
Maybe the shock has stopped her laying or she has just stopped for good?
