tonywig
Slightly flippant subject line for something that has been exercising my tiny brain recently. The situation as it stands is as follows ... - I have a cube without any extension run. - I have 3 chickens. - I move the cube every few days to give them something fresh to munch on and to save (sort of) my lawn. - They get to free range whenever someone is at home (at least a few hours a day usually). My question is ... Should I invest in an extension to the cube run? Obviously it would be better for the chickens but would it make it difficult/impossible to move the cube? Would it save my lawn any more (not THAT bothered but it would be nice)? Any views? Thanks in advance
Electricbarbarella
I have 6 in a cube with extension, they have not freeranged at all yet, although I am hoping they eventually. problems with a tom cat. I have left the cube in one position althougyh is is easy enough to move around, I have put aubiose down which seems a lot cleaner and nicer than just grass. they seem very very happy so I think your 3 would be fine. Of course you could always get an extension and some more chooks

Yolky
For three chooks who can free range I don't think it would be something you definatly needed but if you could afford it I bet the chicks would love the extra space.
