redhotchick
Bella is broody so to encourage her to run round and not sit in the nesting box I lock the eglu door when I let them out to free range in the evenings. It was a bit after dusk when I realised I had to let them in to roost for the night and sure enough they were queuing at the Eglu door. I spent about 5 minutes trying to get Bella to move away from the corner so that I could fully open the door and she would be able to go in. I stood with it half open for a bit and tried to squish her gently out of the way. She got the idea eventually. Anyway with all the messing about I completely overlooked locking the run door! When I went out to check them this morning (and put a new ice pack under Bella) I was greeted by Dolce running to meet me. Which was lovely, but a bit scary when I think what might have happened to them!
