Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

hi just returned home from work and the nesting area of the cube has the familiar circle but no egg. Pearl the Pepperpot has been laying since 21/07/08 but the last few days not a one. I thought maybe due to very humid weather but as I checked the litter tray, egg white and broken shell. Can anyone help.

Hello clueless chick and welcome to the forum

 

She has probably laid a soft shelled egg.

 

Nothing to worry about at the moment as she is still new to laying. I think they know when the egg isn't 'right', as most of my softies are laid on the roosting bars and fall through. The proper eggs are always in the nest
