Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

Paul has just gone to collect half a pig from a friend who has a small holding.

 

For the past few years we have had a lamb off him in the Autumn and its the best lamb I have ever eaten.

 

Apparently Pigs take up a lot more room so he only does enough Pork for the family (where as he does lamb for friends too) BUT this year he called to say he half a Pig if we were interested.

 

The pig in question is a Saddleback cross Tamworth. It's been reared outdoors and only ever fed on Organic feed.

 

I can't wait yum yum yum

we got some pork from Lynda (missuscluck) and it's divine! Nothing like pork from a well looked after pig. Any recipes you care to share, let me know Enjoy it!

there are more sausages than anything else! Oh well never mind! They will be lovely with the fresh eggs for sunday breakfasts!
