I posted last week about our Speckledy. She has lost a lot of feathers underneath and near her vent. At first I thought she may be moulting but I now think that something may be biting her. There is no evidence of red mite in their house and I use the powder and diatom. She does seem to have little bite marks but I'm not sure from what?

 

She is wormed regularly but has passed a couple of softies in the last couple of days and is laying erratically.

 

Is there something I can douse her in to stop whatever is getting to her.

 

Incidentally the other 5 are fine...

Sorry, don't really know . She's not showing signs of broodiness is she? Feather pulling from the tummy is common then, but not the vent I don't think .

Could be one of her flatmates is doing it.

 

Some anti peck spray or a few drops tea tree oil diluted in water and sprayed on might stop them.

My speckeldy has the same thing

 

she is always picking underneath her her skin is red, but it is not irritated its very strange she doesnt have lice either
