Has anyone seen the piece about battery hens in the London Metro today? There seem to be a couple of odd comments...

 

 

"The birds can still live for a further eight years and produce one or two eggs a day - rather than the three a day needed by farmers to make a profit"

Well obviously my freeloaders are short-changing me!

 

3 eggs a day!!!!! Poor little things must have very short "days" in the batteryfarm.
