DORIS AND BORIS
I seem to have a problem with scaly leg mite- it started in Cajun so I bought some benzyl benzoate off the internet (tried to get it from the chemist but got really weird looks- when I explained to one chemist what it was for he said even if he had it he could not sell it to me as it was for humans!!!!!) I have treated all three now as I am not sure about Henny and Bluebell but my question after all this waffling is.... can you eat the eggs after treatment with benzyl benzoate???? The Dogmother
I have no idea as I've never used it on chooks. Louise would be the one to ask, perhaps you could PM her. I use Ivomec Eprinex (not licenced for use on pultry in the UK) on my chooks as a preventative for all types of lice and mites. I also spray their legs with Johnson's mite spray.
