Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

Mrs McGinty my bossy Bluebelle has just started laying, and getting very full of herself!!! She pecks at my hands when I go to open the run, but she seems especially keen on my red Crocs! I think she thinks she can eat them

I don't want to speak too soon, but we've never been pecked on our feet YET!! I bet that hurts! I've had a button pecked at on my jeans

I did this with a pair of bright pink flip flops turned out not to be a very good idea, my toes have only just recovered:lol:

I got chased round the garden the other day just after I'd painted my toenails and just had flip-flops on .... won't make that mistake again

Mine pecked my crocs to start off with, especially the pins, but now they ignore them, they quickly work out that it's not food.

We had the painted toenail experince too . Chickens love anything bright and shiny and feet are in the ideal position for a bit of inquisitive pecking

 

How about getting some glittery jibbitz for your Crocs...really give them something to peck at

Today she pecked my (bright pink) toenails! I'll let her off though, as she's laying really well!!!

I have ladybird jibbitz in them-might explain a lot actually!

I have also had the painted toe nails and flip flop experience ouch! Was also greeted at the gate tonight from work and I had sandals on and they got me again! But they are laying lovely eggs which we had for tea tonight. Fudge had a double yolker!! They are even fond of shiny eyelets on trainers!
