The past couple of nights Jalfrezi has taken to kipping on top of the eglu cage. When we go out to shut them in she's reluctant to move or go into the eglu. She's normal all through the day...and doesn't normally like being picked up or stroked but she's pretty docile when you pick her up at night.

 

She's always been the dippy one - do you think the other two are stopping her going to bed? Could she be a bit broody? She gets in eventually but it must be chilly and lonely up on the top with this rubbish weather!

Have you checked the house/chook for lice/mites? Sometimes that can make them reluctant to go in. Or maybe she just likes to watch the stars at night

I doubt she is broody, as they want to stay in the nest box all the time if they are.

 

I'd check for lice and mites too, and for signs of the others preventing her from going in to the Eglu.

 

 

Maybe she is just a stargazer though.
