julia55
Unfortunately my pup decided to investigate the girls in a slightly boisterous manner and my Light Sussex now resembles a BlackRock colourwise (I think he rolled her over in all the mud) and has no tail feathers at all. I usually free range the girls in a large area but since Wednesday (after the incident) have kept them in their cube run to keep them calm and reassure them all is well - also, I need to secure the gate a bit more before I let them out again. Do you think it would be okay to bath my Light Sussex and give her a good clean or is it too soon after the attack. Obviously I don't want to spook her out any more than necessary at this moment. I'm getting my daily eggs so it hasn't put them off laying.... any advice gratefully received.
TAJ
You need to check her over for any injury and deal with any wounds (antibiotics for dog bites would be advisable), but personally if she is not use to having a bath I wouldn't think now is a good time to start.
