I seem to be on a roll with posting topics at the mo...sorry guys.

 

I just bought some ready seeded pomegranate(sp?) at Asda and opened it to eat just now and thought it tasted a bit chemically/perfumey. I thought maybe it was just me so asked a friends opinion but she said the same - they don't even smell right!!

 

They were £1 and I know its not much but if all the packets are the same I wouldn't like to think of anyone giving it to their children

 

Do you think I should take it back tomorrow?

Sorry to be dense, but what is a ready seeded pomegranate? Surely a pomegranate is a pomegranate, they all have seeds in the middle?

Having said that, if you think it tastes funny, then definitely take it back!

 

Ah, I've just realised, was it a pack of the seeds only without the skin that you bought? (never seen them sold like this though)

I've bought "ready seeded" pomegranite before, to tart up a fruit salad.

£1 for a few seeds!!!!! good grief. I think pomegranites are expensive enough on their own without being de-seeded!

I would take it back if it tastes funny Pomegranates can be quite perfumy in taste. My Gran used to give me half a pomegranate and a pin to use to eat the seeds - kept me occupied for hours!
