paintingbird
Hi, my new speckledy hen has just started to lay, but the eggs are tiny, no bigger than a pigeons eggs. They are a lovely dark brown. Does any one know if they will get bigger as she matures. We have two other speckledys who have yet to come into lay will their egg be the same? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Lettie, Clara, Flo. speckledys. Bertha, Maud and Elsie.
MadMitch
Mine were very tiny at first, but over the three weeks since they have started to get bigger.
paintingbird
thanks for your reply, we feel better now, we thought there may have been something wrong. Just love your avatar, looks like our old cat Beau when he was a kitten. He is in his 19th year now, no ears, no tail and one eye. But we still love him to bits. Awwww, need a picture, he sounds as though someone's loved his bits and pieces off, like an old ted! As for your eggs, they will definitely get bigger, then you might get some double yolkers as her egg producing tackle shifts up a gear - they're a real treat to find!
