Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

With the weather being the way it's been how does everyone ensure their cube/eglu is dry before putting it back together and how often would you reccommend taking apart completely for a deep clean, undoing screws etc? It bothers me that the crevices may still be damp. My cube is not in a particularly sunny position and it wouldn't be that easy to get it into the sun.

we dry it with a towel.

 

On cleanout day (saturday) hubby takes off the roof, takes out bars and egg port partition and cleans those seperate to the actual cube itself. We never dismantle it completely. (undoing bolts/screws etc).

OK,; you haven't had any problems with mites or anything. That's basically what I have been doing and drying with an old towel afterwards. Seems fine so far.

I don't bother drying it ... I just push out any big puddles and let evaporation do the rest

nope, touch wood no probs with mites since buying our 1st eglu in 2006. and we've always used the towel method, of course unless its very sunny - which it isnt!

I just wipe it over with an old towel. Works fine.
