miffy
Our 3 girls have been regularly laying 3 eggs a day for a number of weeks now , but on monday and tuesday this week we only recieved 2 , then yeserday we were blessed with 4 , I have added poultry spice to their feed for the last 4 days could this have been the cause? Is this normal, is it a sign of a problem we are rather worried They all appear well (im no expert though) eating and drinking, no signs of bullying......I ran through various thoughts in the early hours

Adams Egg
Had a similar problem, had only wormed them in July but got ther Flubenvet out again for a week last Weds, poultry spice and avipro in the mash and back to full production within 3 days. TBH can be any number of reasons and just go by elimination, this time of year there are loads of slugs, snails and worms for them, they carry the parasitic worms. Put a bit of DE powder ( v cheap on eBay ) in the roosting area to eliminate mites/lice If they are diverting their energy to fight parasites and stay healthy then there is little left for egg production, good luck
debbie26pet
i think it gonna have to be a strict worming session here over the week, i have ordered some avipro so will add that as well
Janty
Mine have also gone off lay. I have two broodies, the girls are moulting and the weather hasn't been that good - darker nights, wet weather, etc. It's just the time of year but do make sure that they are wormed, check for lice, etc.
