Taking the eglu apart for cleaning

Recommended Posts

Every six weeks or so I take the eglu apart for a good clean. I don't have a power washer so just use a bucket of water and an old washing up brush.

There are two bits I just can't get the bits of hemcore and grot out of :? . I worry about what might be lurking in there :( . Has anyone ever unscrewed these bits? If I did, would I get it back together again easily?

I find that the rounded top of my eglu changes shape if i dont put it back on within 10minutes. The last time i did it i had to get help so that the bar that goes thru the bottom with the spit pin in would go back all the way thru! Its not like i left it in the sun or had any weight on it when it was off. Was quite surprised that the top expanded so much.

I wish you luck with taking it all apart let us know how you get on.
