At last the Blackberries have ripened off down here, and we all went picking at the weekend, so now there is jam in the cupboard, and berries in the freezer.

Off now to polish my good wife and mother halo!!

I've got a pile of apples but not been able to get out blackberrying much, they desperately need turning into jelly - got some crystallised ginger in the cupboard that no one likes - might do some experimenting tomorrow!

one of my colleags says blackberry and marrow is lovely, but you have to use the jar up within a week once opened or it starts to fur up a bit!!

Just stir in the crystalised ginger (chopped) at the end. That's what I did with my apple & ginger.

Made peach & pineapple the other day as an experiment. It's really nice. Fresh peaches & tinned pineapple + jam sugar & cup and a half of water.

Ohhhh, thanks for that, I've been mulling it over all day, trying to figure out how to go about it!
