Solitary chicken - need advice

Can't seem to see from the pictures of the Cube on the Omlet site if the Cube's roof slides backwards away from the ladder end or towards the ladder.

 

I have my on order and have a permanent run that we are getting ready to convert so the Cube can go outside and want to check I have thought of everything before it arrives.

 

I seem to remember seeing some pictures on a thread on the forum of someone who'd added extra roosting bars to their Cube can anyone remember those too - and if it was you did they work?

 

Ooh, one other thing, is the nest box lower than the roosting bars as my girls do like to sleep in the Eglu's nest and was hoping if it is lower they may roost better in the cube.

the cube roof slides forward towards the ladder and the nest box is lower than the roosting bars, but the same level as the trays if the bars were out.

Yes, the roof slides forwards. But if it is space you are thinking about, do remember that the poo trays slide quite a long way backwards, and you have to allow for that.

 

And (facing the back) don't forget the door mechanism handle on the right, which is the opposite side to the eggport on the left.
