KAZAROO
I am sure this has been covered on the forum; but when I do a curry or a chilli I always cook too much rice... The dogs have some and the bub; but what about the hens; I am assuming it cant do them any harm if it is cooled and fresh( not left for days; same as with humans?) Can they have it? KAZAROO
Just as well really then; as they have been having it!! Thanks for all the replies
Cinnamon
Yes,but not too much as it may be a cause of sour crop. When 2 of mine got sour crop the vet asked if I had fed them cooked rice recently, & I had just a couple of days before. it can swell & block the crop, which is probably what happened in my case. KAZAROO
Thank you- this is one of the reasons I asked; also sometimes old rice contains bugs and so only freshly cooked rice x
