quickcluck
One of my girls Harriet laid in the night I think!! She was in the nest box when I closed the door at 7.30 but wasn't sure if she was bagsying the best bed or nesting. Is it usual for them to lay in the dark/night??? thanks K

piptiddlepip
I normally find 2 in the nestbox in the morning. Mine all lay before 8:30. This morning I was up at 6:15, let them out and there was an egg there already!
MedusA
It's more likely to be that she laid it really early in the morning, than in the night. They are usually up before us, as a rule!
Adams Egg
Two of mine have always laid early in the day and at present I am leaving for work by 06.45 and finding two eggs that are already cold. Guess they are waiting for the clocks to go back before they lay in the light again.
